ℹ  About This Forecast

🌅 Overview

Beaumaris On-Site WXSim 8-Day Forecast Charts

We generate on-site weather forecasts up to 8 days ahead (updated every ~3.5 hours, displayed in 30-minute intervals) using WXSim software customised specifically for Beaumaris Weather Station, North East Coast Tasmania. All data is sourced directly from the WXSim latest.csv file converted to a JSON output file.

📊 Charts

74 individual charts covering every WXSim output parameter — Temperature, Humidity, Precipitation, Wind, Pressure, Cloud, Snow, Solar, Heat Flux, Atmospheric Stability, Fire Danger, Soil, and Evapotranspiration.

Zoom: Click and drag across any chart to zoom in. All charts are synchronised — zooming or hovering one affects all. A Reset Zoom button appears top-left to restore the full view.

Tooltip: Fixed top-right of each chart showing the value, unit, and timestamp as you move your mouse.

Gradients: Color gradients on each chart help you spot conditions at a glance — typically red/orange for high/warm values through to blue/green for low/cool values.

⚙ Settings & Navigation

Chart Settings (top bar): Select exactly which of the 74 charts to display, grouped by category. Use Select All / None for bulk changes, or toggle whole groups with the master checkbox. Click Apply & Rebuild to update.

Day Navigation: Click any day button to zoom all charts to that 24-hour window simultaneously, and scroll the conditions banner to that day. Click ↻ All to return to the full 8-day view.

Conditions Banner: Toggle the scrolling hourly weather icon strip on/off from the Settings bar. Shows WXSim weather type icons, condition labels, and temperature for every 30-minute slot. Day slots (06:00–18:00) are highlighted in amber, night slots (18:00–06:00) in blue.

📷 FFDI Fire Danger Zones

The FFDI chart includes colour-coded background bands using the official Australian McArthur scale: Low (0–11) → Moderate → High → Very High → Extreme → Catastrophic (99+).

📱 Mobile

The page is designed to work on both desktop and mobile. The sticky header (site info, settings, banner, day navigation) stays fixed at the top while charts scroll underneath. On narrow screens all controls adapt to smaller sizes automatically.
