Weather Situation : A high pressure system lies just to the east of Tasmania and is expected to slowly move away towards New Zealand during Tuesday and Wednesday. A northerly stream will develop over Tasmania on Tuesday and persist into Wednesday, ahead of a trough to cross the state during Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning. Another trough is expected to cross Tasmania during Thursday, with a west to northwesterly stream to develop and persist through Friday.Issued : 4:00 am EST on Tuesday 18 August 2026.  |  Next Issue : 10:00 am EST Tuesday.
